Google Translate can be your go-to beatbox developing tool if you’re looking for an easy-to-make yet totally awesome beat. Here’s how you can create your own rad rhythmic sequences without even touching an instrument:

1. Go to translate.google.com
2. Change the translation setting to translate from German to German
3. Create your own beat using the following notation guide:

zk = suspended cymbal
bschk = snare
pv = brush
bk = bass
tk = flam1
vk = roll tap
kt = flam2
kttp = flam tap
krp = hi hat tap
pv = short roll
th = better hi hat
thp, ds = instant rimshot

4. Take a listen
5. Make another beat and repeat
You can also type in the German phrase, “Böse Katze” (bad cat) and loop it for an instantaneous beat.

If pre-composing is your thing, use this GUI script: https://gist.github.com/721611

Here’s a sample beat you can test on Google Translate: pv zk bschk pv zk pv bschk zk pv zk bschk pv zk pv bschk zk bschk pv bschk bschk pv kkkkkkkkkk bschk

Go ahead and check it out for yourself! Which beat combo is your favorite?
