Fan controllers are expensive to manufacture due to the use of expensive components such as transformers and regulator circuitry. Find a way to reduce the cost of building a fan control solution.

Solution
Design a Z8 Encore! XP® 8-pin Z8F04 microcontroller-based fan controller powered by a low-cost power supply that eliminates the need for transformer and regulator circuitry.

Result
A simple 3.3 V low-current power supply that radically reduces component count and manufacturing costs.
