µP companion features F-RAM, RTC, crystal
The FM3135 64-Kbit 3-V processor companion combines nonvolatile F-RAM memory with an enhanced real-time clock/calendar and an integrated 32-kHz watch crystal. The 20-pin SOIC-packaged chip operates from 2.7 to 3.6 V over -40 to 85C and uses a two-wire bus to access the memory and control the RTC.
The RTC incorporates a programmable frequency clock output and an alarm that compares user-programmed values to corresponding RTC time/date values. The 8K x 8 F-RAM reads and writes at bus speeds and features unlimited read/write endurance, ($3.20 ea/10,000 — samples available now.)
