0.0002 Ω current sense resistor handles 10 W

The HCS series of surface-mount current sense resistors come in four sizes: 1206 (2 W), 2512 (3 W), 3920 (5 W), and 5930 (10 W). They are available in values as low as 0.2 mΩ with ±1% tolerance. Power is de-rated starting at 100°C and their all-metal raised element means lower PCB temperatures.

The resistors have temperature coefficients of between 50 and 300 ppm. The 5930 size part can handle up to 224 A. The devices exhibit excellent long term stability and have AEC-Q200 qualification. They are also RoHS compliant. From $0.39 ea/2,000.
