0402 chip resistors offer tolerances to 0.01%

The RNCF Series of thin film chip resistors offer tolerances down to 0.01% in sizes from 0402 up to 2512. The series features TCR down to 5 ppm for many values in the same sizes. The 0402 size comes in 0.01%, 5 ppm TCR in values from 49.9 Ω to 5 KΩ. The smallest size, 0201, is available with 0.5 or 1.0 % tolerance.

The 0402 is rated for 0.063 W, while the 2512 version has a power rating of 0.5 to 1 W. An example part number for a 1.00 KΩ, 0.01%, 0402 size, with a 5 ppm/°C TCR is RNCF0402TKY1K00 – approximately $0.78 ea/1,000. A 1%, 25 ppm version is $0.04 ea/1,000.
