1.2-GSPS DAC comes in 7 x 7-mm package

Suited for wired and wireless communication systems, the 16-bit AD9146 TxDAC D/A converter achieves a data throughput rate of 1.2 Gsamples/s and a low-noise specification of 164 dBm/Hz all in a 7 x 7-mm 48-lead LFCSP package. The part integrates an 8-bit LVDS interface and low-noise PLL clock multiplier, which allow design engineers to implement up to six transmit channels using half the PCB space previously required.

Additional features include 2x and 4x interpolators with fine NCO modulation, an IMD of 81 dBc at 100 MHz, and an ACLR of 82 dBc at 122 MHz IF. Full-scale output current can be programmed over a range of 8.7 mA to 31.7 mA. ($29.95 ea/1,000 available now)
