1-GHz tuner generates 78 dB of gain

Operational from a single 5-V supply, the AIT1042 1-GHz tuner generates 78 dB of gain while converting a 50 to 1,000-MHz RF input signal to a 35 to 50-MHz IF output. The device maintains low noise over a wide gain control range, which is adjustable up to 40 dB at the RF input and up to 45 dB in the IF amplifier.

This RF tuner includes an upconverter with RF gain control, a downconverter, an IF amplifier with gain control, two VCOs, and a dual synthesizer, all integrated into a single 7 x 7 x 1-mm surface-mount package. ($3.88 ea/5,000 — available now.)
