1-Mbit serial nonvolatile FRAMs feature low power

Featuring an average active current of 150 µA, the 512-kbit FM24V05 and the 1-Mbit FM24V10 FRAM serial memories are nonvolatile devices that read/write at their full 3.4-MHz I2 C bus frequency. The ICs feature operation at 2.0 to 3.6 V with 90 µA typ standby and 5-µA sleep-mode currents.

The chips can handle 100 trillion read/write cycles, operate at –40° to 85°C, and come in an 8-pin package that is a drop-in replacement for serial flash and EEPROMs. They also have a read-only device ID and can be ordered with a unique serial number.
