1-MHz dc/dc converter reaches 96% efficiency

The AS1326 synchronous step-up dc/dc converter delivers 96% efficiency in a 10-pin TDFN package. The part provides 620 mA at 5.0 V from two AA cells or 470 mA at 3.3 V from a single AA cell and can provide adjustable output voltages in the range of 2.5 to 5 V or fixed at 3.3 V.

Furthermore the AS1326 operates from a voltage between 0.7 and 5 V while offering adjustable soft-start and current limit. Additional features include a fixed switching frequency of 1 MHz, an industrial temperature range of –40° to 85°C, and an automatic powersave function. (Call company for pricing—available now.)
