1-W converters feature 0.23-in.2 footprint

The ACP100E series of miniature 1-W dc/dc converters feature a 0.23-in.2 footprint and are a drop in upgrade for older DCP01-type converters. There are eight standard models that operate from 5- or 12-Vdc inputs, and provide regulated single outputs of 5, 9, 12, or 15 Vdc. Standard features include short-circuit protection and input/output isolation of 1,500 Vdc. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) of the converters is greater than 3.5 million hours.

The dc/dc converters are packaged in a miniature, low-profile 0.77 x 0.30 x 0.18-in. case. Each model is specified for operation from –40° to 85°C (ambient). They suit board-level power applications including industrial process systems, test equipment and instrumentation, data processing equipment, robotic systems, and board-level power-distribution subsystems.
