10-Gbit/s OSA is faster, more accurate

Replacing a popular earlier model, the AQ6370B optical spectrum analyzer (OSA) for 10-Gbit/s transmission testing has been reengineered to remove Littrow light reflections, improve measurement time by 50%, and increase processing speeds, thus improving measurement quality, efficiency, and production savings.

The 19-kg instrument’s monochromator, which resolves a beam of light by wavelength, reduces measurement-caused noise near the optical signal. The OSA’s close-in dynamic range measurement area of peak wavelength ±0.1 nm allows DWDM signals to be measured more accurately. (Contact company for pricing and availability.)
