100-W PFC module integrates EMI filter

The PF100 active PFC and harmonic attenuation module provides 100-W output power and integrates an EMI filter. The module is a commercial off-the-shelf unit designed for military and aerospace applications and intended for use with the company’s 100–W 270-Vdc input dc/dc converters.

The rectifier module uses a universal single phase input from 85 to 265 Vac. It is packaged in a five-sided continuous aluminum case measuring 2.4 x 2.3 x 0.5-in. The module meets CE101 and CE102 of MIL-STD-461 for conducted EMI without requiring any external filtering. Meeting MIL-STD-704E, ABD0100.1.8.1 and MIL-STD-1399, it also deliveries full performance from –40°C to 100°C, operating temperature range, and boosts efficiencies and power factor up to 93% and 0.99, respectively.
