12-MIPS 8-bit MCU costs just $0.35

The AVR ATtiny10 MCU features 1 Kbyte of flash, 32 bytes of SRAM, and up to 12 MIPS of processing throughput in a tiny SOT-23 6-pin package, The chip also includes a four-channel 8-bit A/D converter, a watchdog timer, an analog comparator, and a 16-bit timer with PWM.

The IC operates from 1.8 V (at 4 MHz) to 5.5 V over the industrial temperature range and needs only 0.1 µA in power-down mode, 25 µA in active mode, and 200 µA in 1-MHz operation. ($0.35 ea/10,000 — samples available now.)
