14.6-Mp imagers aim for camera, mobile apps

The 14.6-Mpixel OV14810 and OV14825 image sensors can deliver high-resolution still images and full 1080p HD video at 60 fps in a 1/2.33-in. format. They are intended, respectively, for digital still/video cameras and for mobile applications.

Both sensors, which differ in chief ray angle to optimize each model for its end application, employ 1.4-µm pixels with proprietary back-side-illumination technology (OmniBSI). In full HD mode, sensors provides additional pixels for electronic image stabilization. The imagers offer standard connectivity, including LVDS, MIPI, and DVP, and do not require external ICs.
