16-bit ADCs feature ±1.5-LSB max INL
Housed in MSOP-8 or SON-8 packages, the 16-bit ADS8317 and ADS8326 A/D converters feature ±1.5-LSB max INL. When operating at the full data rate of 250 ksamples/s, the parts consume 10 mW at 5 V, and when operating at 200 ksamples/s, the chips consume less than 4 mW at 2.7 V.
The true differential input ADS8317 features 0.1-ppm/C gain error drift and 0.2-ppm/C offset error drift, while the single-ended input ADS8326 delivers 0.3-ppm/˚C gain error drift and 0.2-ppm/C offset error drift. Both devices operate over 2.7 to 5.5 V and offer a high-speed SPI/SSI serial interface that can be used in a multidevice daisy-chained configuration. ($5 ea/1,000—available now.)
