16-bit ADCs integrate 2-ppm/°C reference

Housed in 12-lead DFN and MSOP packages, the 16-bit LTC2460 and LTC2462 delta-sigma A/D converters integrate a precision reference (2 ppm/°C typ, 10 ppm/°C max). Both ADCs guarantee 16-bit no missing code resolution — making them a complete solution for remote sensor battery-powered applications and industrial sensors monitoring temperature or pressure.

Features include a single 2.7 to 5.5-V supply, 2-LSB offset error, 0.01% gain error, and 2.5-mA maximum supply current at the 60-Hz maximum sampling rate with the internal reference active. With its internal 1.25-V reference, the LTC2460 can measure a single-ended input from 0 to 1.25 V, while the LTC2462 can measure a differential input up to ±1.25 V. They operate up to 60 conversions/s and communicate over an SPI serial interface. (From $1.65 ea/1,000 — available now.)
