16-bit MCU features USB, 96-Kbyte RAM

The four-member 16-MHz PIC24FJ256GB210 16-bit microcontroller family features USB 2.0 Host/Peripheral/On-the-Go full-speed and 96 Kbytes of RAM for buffering of sizeable amounts of data. Peripherals include 24 channels of capacitive touch sensing and a 16-bit enhanced parallel master/slave port.

The ICs have a 500-ksample/s 10-bit A/D converter and use 800 µA/MIPS in run mode at 3.3 V and 20 µA in sleep mode. The chips come in TQFP64, QFN64, TQFP100, and BGA121 packages. (From $4.10 ea/10,000 — available now.)
