The PIC24FJ128GC010 family of 16-bit microcontrollers provides a full analog signal chain including a precision Sigma-delta 16-bit A/D converter and a fast 12-bit 10-Msample/s A/D converter, plus two 10-bit D/A converters and dual op amps with 2.5-MHz gain-bandwidth product.
The low-power device targets portable applications and takes only 2.0 mA max running at 8 MHz with all peripherals turned off. Idle current is 150 µ A with a 1-MHz clock and there are deep-sleep modes. It has 128 or 64 Kbytes of flash and 8 Kbytes of RAM, a 59-segment LCD controller, a charge time measurement unit for capacitive touch, USB 2.0, nine compare/PWM modules, and a six-channel DMA. From $2.59 each in volume in TQFP, BGA, and QFN packages.
