16-bit MCUs have RF xceiver, AES security

The CC430F5133, CC430F5135, CC430F5137 MCUs combine a low-power 16-bit MSP430 CPU with a sub-1-GHz CC1101 RF transceiver for single-chip RF/wireless solutions. They have an AES-128 security coprocessor, DMA, a 12-bt A/D converter, up to 4 Kbytes of RAM and 32 Kbytes of flash, an LCD driver, two 16-bit timers with capture/compare, SPI and I2C ports, and an RTC.

The QFN48-packaged chips take only 3.2 mA at 20-MHz clock speed in active mode and 2.0 µA in standby with RTC and RAM retention. The radio takes 15 mA at 250 Kbits/s, 915 MHz, in Rx. The processor wakes up from standby in less than 6 µs. (Fron $4.15 ea/1,000 — samples available now.)
