16-drive NAS system has hardware encryption

The SecureNAS T1 is a 16-bay secure network-attached-storage (NAS) device with FIPS 140-2-certified, AES ECB 256-bit-strength real-time encryption. The unit’s AES secret keys are delivered securely via a remote key server that runs under the administrator’s Windows PC/laptop. The entire disk array is hardware encrypted, without performance degradation.

The system has two Gigabit Ethernet ports and up to 16 hot-swappable SATA II (3-Gbit/s, NCQ-support) hard drives with available hardware RAID 5 or 6. The 133 x 482 x 730-mm unit has redundant 700-W hot-swappable power supplies with PFC. ($25,500, 1-Tbyte/16-drive model — available now.)
