The MBI 1,700-W dc/dc converter is housed in a 9.98 x 6.98 x 1.25-in. enclosure. It offers efficiency as high as 94% minimizing the case temperature rise of the converter under various loading conditions. The input range extends from 23 to 35 Vdc with an output voltage of 29.5 Vdc at 58 A making is suitable for ground based mobile military COTS applications. The device features high efficiency synchronous rectification, advanced electronic circuits (without opto-couplers). The unit meets the high reliability demands of the military industry.
The converter is designed to meet MIL-STD 1257B for normal mode operation, CE101 and CE102 of MIL-STD 461 as well as MIL-STD 810F. The output voltage range over line, load, temperature and life is 28.6 to 30.40 Vdc. The output current range is 0 to 58 A. Output voltage ripple is 400-mV peak to peak max and 160-mV rms max. Line and load regulation is ±70 mV and ±500 mV respectively. The operating temperature range extends from –20º to +100ºC.
