2.1- and 3.2-GHz spectrum analyzers offer higher resolution, accuracy

Covering frequency ranges from 9 kHz to 2.1 GHz and 3.2 GHz, respectively, the SSA3021X and SSA3032X  spectrum analyzers offer higher frequency resolution and measurement accuracy through the use of all-digital intermediate-frequency (IF) technology. Digital IF technology uses digital signal processing to perform frequency conversion and filtering earlier in the signal path, thus producing more accurate and stable values.

Minimum resolution bandwidth (RBW) for the instruments is 10 Hz, average noise level displayed is −161 dBm/Hz, offset phase noise is −98 dBc/Hz @10 kHz, and total amplitude accuracy is better than 0.7 dB. Initial calibration accuracy is better than 0.2 ppm. Each SSA3000X series spectrum analyzer has a 10.1-in. WVGA (1024 x 600-pixel) display that is bright and easy to read. Prices start at $1,595 and options include a tracking generator, advanced measurement package, EMI measurement function with quasi-peak detection, and reflection (VSWR) measurement kit.
