The HFE2500 series 2.5kW front-end power supplies target distributed power, hot-pluggable and redundant power systems. The supplies operate from an 85 to 265Vac input, have active PFC, and provide a regulated dc-output of 12, 24 or 48 V. Operating efficiencies of up to 93% are typical.
Four of the front-end power supplies can be connected in parallel with automatic load-sharing to provide up to 9.5–kW of output power in a 19–in. rack-mount enclosure. An optional MCU in each supply allows for remote programming, monitoring, and status reporting via an isolated I2C and PMBus interface. Two 19–in. power racks containing up to eight supplies can be zero-stacked and connected in parallel or series to provide up to 19–kW output power in a 2U vertical space. Applications for supplies include data centers, wireless base stations, industrial automation, telecommunications, RF power amplifiers, network equipment, storage systems, defense, and distributed power architectures.(From $689 ea/100 — available now.)
