2-A switching regulators replace linear types

The K78xx-2000 series of three terminal switching regulators are drop-in replacements for linear regulators. They feature 92% efficiency, eliminate the need for a heatsink, and save board space.

The switching regulators series offers inputs from 4.75 to 18 Vdc, with positive or negative outputs of 2.5, 3.3, 5 and 6.5 Vdc. An output current rating of up to 2 A allows for up to 13-W power in a miniature SIP package with a choice of straight or bent leads. The operating temperature of the regulators is −40° to +85°C.
