The MLX80002 or 80004 2- and 4-channel LIN transceiver ICs can reduce system costs by 20% compared to multiple single transceivers. Produced in 0.35-μm HV-CMOS, the single-die IC operates over -40° to 125°C and has protection against overtemperature, 40-V load dump, 7-kV ESD, and output short to ground.
The 24-pin QFN 4×4 RoHS-compliant packaged chip features RXD timeout, TxD timeout, a sleep timer, and sleep mode current of just 15 μA max. Various active modes require 3 to 120 mA. The IC also has slew rate selection and high-speed flash mode with a wide operating voltage range of 5 to 27 V.
