2-core PXIe controller handles fast data xfer

Used in combinations with the M9018A PXIe chassis, the three-slot M9036A 2.4-GHz PXIe embedded controller, which is an Intel Core i5 2.4-GHz dual-core processor, can deliver 4 Gbyte/s data rates for peer-to-peer applications, the highest-throughput PXI test platform capability available. The chassis/controller platform can accept legacy PXI instruments while providing up to 8 GByte/s of system bandwidth with dual x8 express links. The controller can also operate in a four-link configuration, providing compatibility with existing PXIe chassis.

The controller has a removable 160-Gbyte solid-state drive, 4 Gbyte RAM upgradable to 8 Gbyte, and built-in front panel connectors for USB, LAN, DVI-I, GPIB, ExpressCard 34 and an SMB trigger to simplify integration with traditional standalone instruments using connector. The module is preloaded with OS, controller and chassis drivers, soft front panel, and I/O libraries that include VISA, Agilent Connection Expert, and I/O monitoring. (From $6,600 available now.)
