2-W, 3-W isolated dc/dc converters target space-limited designs

The MFW02 and MFW03 series of 2- and 3-W isolated and regulated dc/dc converters are provided in an encapsulated package measuring 0.55 x 0.55 x 0.31 in. Each family offers 28 models with 4.5- to 10-, 9- to 18-, 18- to 36-, and 36- to 75-Vdc input ranges and single-/dual-output models ranging from 3.3 to 15 Vdc.

The dc/dc converters feature up to 87% efficiency, which enables an ambient operating temperature range of –40°C to +80°C (derate linearly to 50% power from 70°C to 80°C). The series includes 1,500-Vdc isolation, no minimum load requirement, under-voltage lockout with overload, and short-circuit protection.
