The R2A60281LG 2G/3G dual-mode RF transceiver integrates in a single chip most of the high-frequency signal-processing functions required by mobile phone handsets, including the down conversion of high-frequency wireless signals to a lower frequency to be used by the baseband processor. The part integrates 2G (GPRS/EDGE) quad-band (850 MHz / 900 MHz/ 1.8 GHz/ 1.9 GHz) and 3G (W-CDMA) quad-band (800 MHz / 1.5 GHz / 1.7 GHz / 2 GHz) functionality.
It also supports High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HPUPA) as well as HSDPA categories 7 and 8 for fast data downloads at speeds up to a maximum of 7.2 Mbits/s. Housed in a 120-pin LGA package, the device includes LNAs, a loop filter circuit, and HPA controls. ($9 — available now.)
