The Z-Drive 4500 PCIe Gen 2 SSD card uses 19 nm MLC NAND flash and new Windows accelerator (WXL) software for a maximum bandwidth of up to 2,900 Mbytes/s read and up to 2,200 Mbytes/s write. The 3.2 Tbyte drive version (ZD4RPFC8MT300-3200) has random 4K block throughput of up to 252,000 IOPS read and 40,000 IOPS write. The 1.6 Tbyte version handles 76,000 IOPS writes.
The drive includes power loss data protection, end-to-end data path protection that performs data integrity checks, 128-bit AES encryption, TRIM command support, and temperature sensing and thermal throttling. Power consumption is less than 22.8 W active. The drive comes in 800, 1,600 and 3,200 Gbyte capacities starting at $2,944.
