3.5 inch HDD stores 4 Tbytes

The RE SATA 4 Tbyte hard drive (WD4000FYYZ) comes in a 3.5 inch format with 1.028 inch height. The drive has a 6 Gbit/s SATA interface and features dual port full duplex connections and 1.4 M hour MTBF.

The 7,200 RPM drive has a 64 Mbyte cache and takes 10.4 W maximum and 8.6 W in idle. It yields sustained sequential data rates up to 171 MB/s and also comes in 1-, 2-, and 3-Tbyte configurations. ($459/$479 – available now.)
