The BAP 3KR series railway-quality dc/dc converter deliver up to 3-kW output power. The converter suits a range of on-board and trackside applications and meets all relevant railway standards including EN50155 for electronic equipment used on railway rolling stock. It accepts a nominal input voltage of 110-Vdc input (66 to 154-Vdc range) and is rated for a single output of 28 V/107 A.
The converter has input and output filtering in compliance with EN55022 and EN50121-3-2 conducted and radiated EMI standards. The unit has four internal modules that provide inherent redundancy. It has 3-kVdc input-to-output isolation and offers inrush current limiting and reverse-polarity protection at the input.
