30-V MOSFET in tiny 5 x 6-mm package breaks 1-mΩ barrier

The FDMS7650 is the industry’s first sub-1-mΩ 30-V MOSFET in a Power 56 package. This 5 x 6-mm device targets designers of
servers, blade-servers, and routers and functions as a load switch or an ORing FET. In server farms, these ORing FETs are
used when many power supplies are arranged in parallel to share the load.

The 30-V MOSFET has an RDS(on) of 0.99 mΩ max, reducing conduction losses and improving the overall efficiency of the application. It can deliver the same
total RDS(on) with half the number of FETs of typical devices. The FET technology also yields low total gate charge (QG ) and Miller charge (QGD ) , which results in high efficiency by minimizing conduction and switching losses. ($0.95 ea/1,000 — available now.)
