300-W dc/dc converter power EV applications

The 300-W EVD series of dc/dc converters target electric vehicle (EV) applications. To accommodate a variety of battery sources two input ranges are available, 30 to 65 Vdc and 60 to 120 Vdc. The output voltages available are 14.2 Vdc and 13.5 Vdc. All models are housed in a ruggedized 7.48 x 2.99 x 1.71-in. package. The baseplate of the unit suits bulkhead or firewall mounting of the converter. The module is housed in an encapsulated waterproof IP67 enclosure.

All the dc/dc converter models provide isolated input to output with an isolation voltage is 2,250 Vdc. Efficiencies run as high as 91%. Each model features over voltage protection, short circuit protection, over temperature protection and remote on/off. The converters also feature reverse battery protection. The operating ambient temperature rating extends from -40° to +50°C. The units meet on-vehicle magnetic field and ESD requirements per EN 6100-6-2 requirements.
