The C2000 Piccolo F28075 microcontroller can boost execution speeds of control tasks in industrial applications. The IC features a 120 MHz real-time control accelerator (CLA) that executes single-precision floating-point operations independently of main CPU and a trigonometric math unit (TMU).
The IC has 512 Kbytes of ECC flash and 100 Kbytes of RAM. It has an external memory interface, three 12-bit 3.1 Ms/s A/D converters with S/H, 24 enhanced PWMs, 16 high-resolution PWMs, three enhanced quadrature encoder modules, USB 2.0, two CAN ports, plus SPI and I2 C ports.
