32-bit MCU has 2.4-GHz 802.15 radio

The STM32W 32-bit MCU features an integrated 802.15.4 radio to deliver a true SoC for embedded wireless sensor network designs. The 2.4-GHz radio includes the PHY and MAC and supports the ZigBee, ZigBee RF4CE, or 6LoWPAN wireless and can transmit at up to 7 dBm.

The MCU has a ARM Cortex-M3 core and takes just 27 mA in receive and 31 mA in transmit mode, with a 1 µA deep-sleep mode. The IC has 8 Kbytes of SRAM, 128 Kbytes of flash, AES encryption hardware acceleration, an A/D converter, and a SPI/UART/TWI serial interface. (From $2.90 ea/100,000 — available 4th qtr.)
