32-bit MCUs fit tough real-time applications

The TC1197 and TC1167 32-bit MCUs are designed for use in demanding real-time industrial applications, such as multi-axis controllers, with up to five 3-phase complementary PWMs. The devices have a super-scalar TriCore CPU with a four stage pipeline. The 180-MHz 1197 runs at –40° to 125°C, while the 133-MHz 1167 handles –40° to 85°C.

The BGA-416-packaged TC1197 has up to 4 Mbytes of flash, a total of 224 Kbytes of RAM, 48 A/D converter channels, two general-purpose timer units, one local timer cell unit, 16 DMA channels, and a 32-bit external bus unit. The LQFP-176-packaged TC1167 has 1 Mbyte of flash, 128 Kbytes of RAM, 32 A/D converter channels, eight DMA channels, and one general-purpose timer unit.
