32-bit motor control MCU targets EV/HEV

The MB91580 32-bit RISC microcontroller feature optimized, high-performance peripherals for electric vehicle/hybrid electric vehicle and other HV 3-phase inverter motor controls. The processor delivers 160 DMIPS and has an IEEE-754-compliant floating point unit for fast vector conversion and PID control calculation.

Efficient loop control is achieved with a 12-bit A/D converter and a 12-bit resolver-to-digital converter with dedicated hardware for the motor electrical angle's sine and cosine determination. The processor has up to 1088 Kbytes of advanced flash and 96 Kbytes of RAM, an 8-channel DMA, three CAN channels, and a Flexray interface.
