32-bit secure MCU features small package

The MAXQ1850 32-bit RISC microcontroller targets the financial terminal market with a wealth of security supervisory features, encryption acceleration, and 8 Kbytes of NV SRAM. It is the only high-security MCU that does not have an external memory bus, so it offers a low-pin-count 6 x 6-mm TQFN40 or 7 x 7-mm CSBGA49 package.

The chips security mechanisms protect against logical and physical attacks with encryption engines that are resistant to side-channel attacks and cryptanalysis, environmental sensors to protect against physical manipulation, and secure tamper triggers. (From $6 ea/1,000 — available now.)
