The PL-80540 3U networking platform features up to 12 hot-pluggable blades using Intel Xeon E3-1275 or -1225 quad-core processors with clock speeds of 3.2 or 3.4 GHz. The system has dual 10GbE SFP, dual GbE SFP and dual GbE RJ45 and accommodates expansion modules for an additional six 10GbE SFP and additional sixteen GbE copper/fiber LANs.
The unit has up to 32 Gbytes of dual-channel DDR3 1066/1333 MHz system memory, redundant 1620 W 80 Plus platinum level power supplies, and optional IPMI remote management interface. It uses an Intel Cougar Point C206 chip set with a AMI SPI BIOS, has has one PCIe x16 port, provides up to 5 GT/s memory speeds, and supports an optional cryptographic module.
