Suitable for the set-top-box and DVD market, the four-channel FMS6144A video filter operates at 8 MHz and offers an ESD protection of 9 kV — protecting applications from adverse electrostatic discharge events and eliminating the need for discrete protection devices. The product also provides a 3-V supply option so designers can use this in either 5- or 3-V systems.

This device is capable of having inputs ac or dc coupled, saving 10% board space and reducing design complexity by eliminating eight additional components. The part is housed in a 14-pin TSSOP package. ($0.64 ea/1,000 — samples available now.)
