As part of National Electrical Safety month, power management company Eaton has created the infographic below to educate consumers and industry professional on some of the dangers associated with counterfeits.
Eaton recently joined the Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI) to stress awareness of effective anti-counterfeiting measures during National Electrical Safety Month. The collaboration is part of an ongoing effort to build understanding and awareness of the danger and economic risks posed by counterfeit electrical products in residential and industrial settings.
Specifically, the program encourages workplaces in the electrical industry to learn about and join the dialogue surrounding counterfeit products. Campaign resources include an illustrated fact sheet, intended to be shared in the workplace, which provides members of the electrical industry with tips to properly identify, avoid and report counterfeit electrical products.
“Education has been shown to make an impact while addressing the important issue of counterfeit electrical products and can help save lives and prevent injuries and property damage,” said Brett Brenner, president, ESFI. “For many years, Eaton has taken a leadership role in educating the public about dangerous counterfeit electrical products that make their way into our homes, businesses and public institutions every day. We look forward to growing our collaboration efforts as ESFI expands its anti-counterfeiting initiatives.”
