4 x 4 crosspoint switch runs at 3.125 Gbits/s

The DS25CP104 LVDS 4 x 4 crosspoint switch provides 10-ps typ jitter performance at data transmission rates up to 3.125 Gbits/s. The chip’s feature set enhances signal integrity in applications such as XAUI (telecom) and SMPTE 424M (pro video). The chip consumes as little as 122 mW per channel.

The device inputs have a wide common-mode voltage range that allows the chip to accept LVPECL, CML, and LVDS signal levels without using coupling capacitors. The LLP40-packaged IC also features 8 kV electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection and 100 Ω termination on LVDS inputs. ($8.75 ea/1,000 — available now.)
