The GreenPoint power supply reference design is suited for 40-W supplies used to power desktop printers. The complete solution delivers over 83% efficiency and achieves a no-load power consumption of less than 150 mW.
The reference design is compliant with the most stringent requirements from ENERGY STAR to the Group for Energy Efficient Appliances (GEEA) via the US Executive Order “1-Watt Standby” Order and the Japanese Eco Mark program. An over power protection below 100 W has been implemented for the entire input voltage range (88 to 265 Vac) to comply with the Limited Power Source (LPS) test. The enabling device for the reference design is the NCP1351 current-mode controller targeting low-power off-line flyback SMPS. (Call Christophe Warin for price—available now.)
