400-VA sine wave inverters target industrial automation, power plants

The ABSOPULSE CSH-400-F6 series of heavy-duty, high-input-voltage dc/ac sine wave inverters use microprocessor-controlled, high-frequency PWM technology to deliver 400-VA pure sine wave output voltage. They convert 600-Vdc industrial input voltage (450- to 800-V operating range) to an isolated sine wave output of 115 Vac continuous at 60 Hz or 400 Hz or 230 Vac continuous at 50 Hz. The inverter allows for input voltages of up to 1,200 Vdc. They are designed for industrial applications that require clean sine wave ac-output voltage and target industrial automation and control, transportation, power plants, and electrical utilities.

The high-frequency conversion enables high efficiency, compact construction of 210 x 64 x 365 mm, and low weight. The inverters are cooled by conduction via baseplate and by natural convection through the cooling slots. Most heat-generating components are installed on aluminum heat sink blocks, which are thermally connected to the base plate. This also ensures exceptional mechanical ruggedness. The internal boards have a conformal coat to provide protection against humidity and airborne contaminants. The units are typically chassis-mounted.

The input meets EN55022 Class A, with Class B available on request. This ensures that the inverters can be used in EMI-sensitive environments without additional filtering. An optional output-fail alarm (Form C) is available. The units are designed for compliance with C22.2 No. 107.1−01, UL 458, and EN/UL60950-1 standards. Electronic protection includes input surge clamping, overload, and short-circuit protection, as well as thermal shutdown with automatic recovery.
