400-W ac/dc multi-output power supply targets industrial needs

The Integrated Power Design NXT400M ac/dc power supply provides two to four outputs in a 4 x 7 x 1.5-in. package. It achieves high power density through the use of an interleaved boundary conduction-mode converter, giving the power supply a peak efficiency of 90%. All outputs are adjustable and fully regulated. Unique voltages are easily configured and are available as positive, negative, or isolated. Additional output features include overpower protection, overvoltage protection, power fail warning, remote sense on output number 1, and independent voltage inhibit for each output.

Standard specifications include an 85- to 264-Vac input, power factor correction, and –20°C to 70°C operation. The power supply is available in an open frame with a chassis or fully enclosed with a chassis and cover. It targets industrial applications. An optional standby feature provides a total power supply inhibit feature that limits input power to less than 300 mW and provides continuous 5 V at 2 A for housekeeping functions.

Up-to-date approvals make this power supply suitable for ITE, audio/video, communication, and medical applications. Along with being 2MOPP primary to secondary, the approvals include: EN60950-1 2^nd  edition ITE Certification, EN62368-1 2^nd  edition ITE, CTE Cert., EN60601-1 3^rd  edition Medical Cert., and EN60601-2 4^th  edition EMC Cert.
