40A power device targets multiphase apps

The 40-A IR3553 power device is optimized for cost-sensitive, entry-level servers and high-end desktops. It integrates a synchronous buck gate driver, synchronous MOSFETs, and a Schottky diode in a 6 x 4 x 0.9-mm PQFN package.

The power-stage device provides an integrated current-sense amplifier and are PWM compatible with the CHiL digital power control products, as well as most industry-standard PWM controllers. The unit features 4.5 to 15–V input, 0.25 to 2.5–V output, and an Fsw frequency of 1,000 kHz max. (From $1.95 ea/10,000 — available now.)
