The 4x100G OTN transponder FPGA reference design is said to bethe world's first single-chip 400G solution. The optical transportdesign features a common control plane to manage the four 100Gstreams, with each supporting GFEC with statistics, an overheadprocessor for section, path, and tandem connection monitoring, andan easy to use GUI to evaluate defects and performance metrics.
The optimized design uses 63% LUTs and 37% BRAMs of a Virtex-7(XC7V1140T) FPGA allowing additional customer IP for productdifferentiation. It includes a PHY solution that does not requirean external PLL and a group of comprehensive operating-systemagnostic software APIs.
