5-A gate drivers support renewable energy apps

The UCC27531 and UCC27532 output stage gate drivers are the industry’s first 35-V, single-channel, output stage power management gate drivers for IGBTs and SiC FETs. They suit isolated power designs, such as solar dc/ac inverters, uninterruptible power supplies and electric vehicle charging.

TI UCC27531 UCC27532 gate drivers

The output stage gate drivers prevent the digital controllers from operating too close to the power circuitry, extending the lifetime of isolated power designs. The drivers have a peak current of 2.5-A source and 5-A sink allowing fast charging of IGBTs. They have a propagation time of 17 ns and have an under-voltage lock-out protection. A split-output configuration improves Miller turn-on immunity and prevents damage of IGBT/MOSFET. ($0.75 ea/1,000 — available now.)
