5-W dc/dc converter has 4:1 input

The SMW series of dc/dc converters offers 5-W regulated output power with an industry-standard SMT footprint. Total board space required for this package is 1.31 x 1.01 x 0.40 in. The series offers a 4:1 input range with nominal input voltages of 24 and 48 Vdc. Single outputs offered are 3.3, 5, 12, and 15 Vdc. Dual outputs are ±5, ±12, and ±15 Vdc.

The dc/dc converters have an operating ambient temperature range from –40° to 71°C. They are encapsulated with a thermally conductive potting compound in a nonconductive plastic case and have an isolation voltage rating of 1,500 Vdc. ($17.06 ea/1,000 — available now.)
