The MPM-05PB series of low cost, single output, 5-W switching power supplies include safety approvals and filtering in compact packaging. Standard features include filtering to EN 55022, an input/output isolation of 4,000 Vac, and line/load regulation.Six standard models operate from a universal input of 85 to 264 Vac (110 to 370 Vdc); providing regulated single outputs of 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 15, or 24 Vdc. All models are protected for over voltage, over temperature and short circuit faults.
The switching power supply has an IEC Safety Class II input (IEC 61140) that can be used without being connected to an earth ground. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) is >200 kh. The supplies are packaged in a 2.0 x 1.0 x 0.60-in. case. The operating temperature range extends from –25°C to +70°C. They target remote or portable equipment where a reliable ground is often not available.
